Maria Spencer is an independent financial adviser with over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. She qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner in 2007 and provides understandable financial planning advice with solutions based on the whole of the market. Maria advises a wide range of clients from business owners to vulnerable people on pensions, retirement planning, inheritance tax mitigation strategies, investments, trustee investments and protection, liaising with your solicitors and accountants if required.
Maria recognises that people often find it challenging to focus on their finances which can cost them thousands in tax every year, leave their families in a vulnerable position and without a clear investment strategy. She is committed to helping people protect themselves, their families and business, save tax, gain higher long term investment returns and generally form a better relationship with their finances.
Outside of work, Maria loves to spend time with her husband, son and friends. To relax she enjoys staying fit, gardening, sewing and crochet.

Financial Advisers advise clients on investments, taxes, estate planning, insurance, mortgages, and retirement. Subsequently, they are also known as personal financial advisors, financial planners, financial advisers, financial service advisors, and investment advisers. Financial advisers look at your personal circumstances and your financial plans and recommend products to help you meet your needs. Notably, there are two types of financial advisers. We are Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs). As a result, we can recommend financial products spanning the whole of the market. Basically, this means our advice is unbiased and unrestricted. In contrast, Restricted Advisers can only recommend products from certain providers. In some cases, they recommend products from a single company.
